Song background:

In researching this hymn, i found it interesing that in Deseret Sunday School Songs (1909, no. 157) it was printed in triple meter instead of duple meter. I wanted to find a way to incorporate both metric settings if possible. The duple meter sections of this arrangement represent Earthly life, and the triple meter sections represent a longing or departure of some sort from Earthly life towards something more heavenly.

You can also bookmark/save this song arrangement to your personal freeldssheetmusic bookmark save list.
