Song background:

This song came from a phrase I heard in a General Conference talk, "We live with lively hope." I paired it with a tune that had been going through my head for the week prior that I had heard Richard Elliott play as an organ interlude. The current words in our hymnbook "Our Father By Whose Name".

Lyrics: 1.
We live with lively hope,
That when the sun does set
That we with night can cope,
And never will forget.

The coming sunrise of that day,
When former things shall pass away.
When former things shall pass away.

2.
We live with vibrant joy
That death is not the end.
That it cannot destroy.
The treasure of a friend.

For those who sleep shall rise again,
In coming days, we shall know when.
In coming days, we shall know when.

3.
We live with verdant praise
For Him who made this so,
Who sanctifies our days,
That we His love may know.

Let earth and heaven echo strong
The rapturous praise of holy song!
The rapturous praise of holy song!
