More about Donnalynn Grunewald:
Most of my music is original. Because I have lived in small branches for most of my life, I try to write songs that can be performed by a small group or a choir of inexperienced singers.
Song background:

It’s pretty tough to find a sacred alto solo! I ought to know – I’ve been an alto since I was ten.  Here is a little song based on Psalm 24:3-4. “Who shall ascend to the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart.”

Lyrics: Who will ascend to the hill of the Lord?
Who will stand in his holy place?
He that hath clean hands and a pure heart.
He that hath clean hands and a pure heart.

Lord, how can I be sure that my heart is pure and my hands are clean?
What good must I do to stand right there with you in that world supreme?
Keep me now from sin, I pray. Let me know the wonder of Thy love.

Chorus:May I have clean hands and a pure heart.
Grant me the blessing of Thy grace.
And with my clean hands and a pure heart,
I’ll stand in Thy holy place.

Clean hands really should be ever doing good serving God and man.
Gentle hands and kind are those you have in mind for your sacred plan.
May my hands be just like thine – reaching out and healing where I can.

Chorus:

Hearts that have no pride, hate nor jealousy inside – these are hearts divine.
If my heart is pure, the promises are sure and all joy is mine.
Let me have Thy love for all. Let my life be patterned after Thine.

Chorus:
