More about Nathan Howe:
Nathan Howe is a Colorado composer, performer, and educator.
Song background:

O Night is a song about the birth of Christ.  This SATB piece begins with a medium-voice solo, then breaks into a quasi-canon in the choral voices.  The song finishes as it begins, with a solo voice imploring the audience to receive Christ the Lord.  The minimalistic accompaniment provides a starry backdrop for a song that expresses joy at the coming of the Savior.  It was written as a part of the 2010 Christmas cantata Come and Behold Him.  Measure and page numbers correspond with the full cantata score.
