He currently teaches privately, and with Musicland. Maria has been writing lyrics and poetry for several years. They are Award of Merit Winners in the LDS Church 2014 Church Music Submission Awards.

Oh Lord I'm a sinner who seeks thy listening ear.
Of thee I ask forgiveness with heart most sincere.
Oh My heart I do pour out, repentant and contrite.
My sins I give to thee Lord; thy pardon I seek.

Oh let not my poor heart in sorrow remain,
No happiness to enter but sink more in pain.
But by blood most precious thy Son did shed for us,
Oh hear my prayer to thee Lord; relieve my distress.
