Lyrics: Verse 1:
Oh Lord I'm a sinner who seeks thy listening ear.
Of thee I ask forgiveness with heart most sincere.
Oh My heart I do pour out, repentant and contrite.
My sins I give to thee Lord; thy pardon I seek.

Verse 2:
Oh let not my poor heart in sorrow remain,
No happiness to enter but sink more in pain.
But by blood most precious thy Son did shed for us,
Oh hear my prayer to thee Lord; relieve my distress.

Verse 3:
I've I've walked in such darkness while wandering this world.
I sank in evil helpless: by Satan was bound.
By pretenses false disguised as joyful bliss,
He led me to an abyss of unhappiness.

Verse 4:
Lord, only thy mercies which thou to us extend,
My desolate soul has rescued and brought peace again.
I walk now securely in peace with faith and hope,
And by thy hand am guided to Father above.

Chorus:
Oh Lord we're imperfect. Please bless us from above
To always be valiant: our weaknesses o'ercome.
And Lord fortify us in thy eternal love
That we may have courage and strength to forgive.
