Song background:

My husband and I were asked to be ma and pa for our stake youth pioneer trek last summer.  The trek theme was "Generations Linked in Love" and I decided to write a song that we could teach our trek family along the trail.  This song became really meaningful to us and the youth as we experienced the joys and difficulties of the trek.  One of our trek daughters who has scoliosis shared with us at the end of trek that there were many times along the trail that she felt she couldn't keep going, and then we would start to sing our song again and it would give her the strength she needed to "journey on".  (The mp3 recording of this song is my husband and I singing it with our kids). :)
