Song background:

I noticed that He is Risen and Christ the Lord is Risen Today have very similar chord progressions, and they also happen to be in the same key. So I mashed them together and came up with this for our Easter sacrament meeting program. I also mingled in and finished off with the Hallelujah Chorus. I feel the Spirit so strongly every year when I sing in our San Antonio community production of Handel's Messiah, and it shouldn't just be relegated to Christmas! He is Risen, and he is the Messiah all the time! You’ll want to keep an eye on the melody and bring that out as it moves from hand to hand.
