Song background:

This song was written especially for Young Women's camp this year (2019). When first considering what examples to include, the woman taken in adultery came to my mind and would not go away. There is so much to glean from this story and this song barely scratches the surface, but I hope that it helps to illustrate the many Christ-like qualities we hope to emulate.

Verse 1:
He looked upon the sinner they had brought for him to see,
And then at her accusers, who asked what her fate should be.
Having made their judgments, some were eager to throw stones,
Or trick the Christ that He might be accused for what He chose.

It must have pierced them to their souls when he humbly spoke,
“He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone.”
